On 28.04.2016, the Supervisory Board of Polska Grupa Górnicza held interviews with prospective members of the new management board.

As a result of the interview process, the following new management board of PGG was created:
– President of the Management Board – Tomasz Rogala
– Vice-President of the Management Board: Production – Piotr Bojarski
– Vice-President of the Management Board: Sales – Adam Hochuł
– Vice-President of the Management Board: Employee Matters – Jerzy Janczewski
– Vice-President of the Management Board: Finances– Andrzej Paniczek

The new management board of PGG will start functioning as of 1 May 2016. The existing Management Board, comprising the following members, is dismissed: Jerzy Polok – President of the Management Board and Robert Kwaśniak – Vice-President of the Management Board: Finances.

Tomasz Rogala graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia. His major was law and he specialised in financial law. He also completed a post-graduate course in European Union law at the Faculty of Law at Jagiellonian University and a post-graduate course in enterprise management at the University of Economics in Katowice as part of the Harzburg-Kolleg programme. He holds a licence issued by the Minister of Justice authorising him to work as a reorganisation advisor. He has been running a legal office of his own since 2010. He is recorded as an expert witness, for matters such as, for example, enterprise appraisal, by the Regional Court in Katowice and the Regional Court in Gliwice. Since 24 February 2016, he has been President of the Management Board of Kompania Węglowa S.A.

Piotr Bojarski graduated from the Mining Faculty of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, specialising in technical exploitation of deposits. He completed a post-graduate course in organisation and management and in enterprise management at the University of Economics in Katowice as part of the Harzburg-Kolleg programme. Piotr Bojarski has many years of experience in managerial positions in the mining industry. He has worked for such organisations as KWK Grodziec, KWK Julian, KWK Bobrek and Zakład Górniczy ‘Piekary’ (where ‘KWK’ refers to a hard bituminous coal mine). From 2006 to 2008, he was President of the Management Board – Director of KWK Budryk S.A. He has been professionally associated with Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. since 2009, on behalf of which he occupied positions such as the Director of KWK Jas-Mos owned by JSW. His most recent position was Attorney of the Management Board in charge of the reorganisation of GK JSW (‘GK’ means ‘Capital Group’).

Adam Hochuł graduated from the Faculty of Organisation and Management at the Silesian University of Technology and completed a post-graduate course in “Management methods of contemporary organisations” and “Project management within an enterprise”. He also graduated from a diploma course entitled “Practical Application of International Financial Reporting Standards” organised by the Ernst & Young Academy of Business and the Warsaw School of Economics. He has been closely connected with the mining industry since the beginning of his professional career. He worked for companies such as: Katowicki Węgiel Sp. z o.o. and CZW Węglozbyt S.A. Since 2003, he has had professional associations with Katowicki Holding Węglowy S.A. His most recent position there was Sales Team Director.

Jerzy Janczewski graduated from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Faculty of Social Sciences, having studied management and marketing. He completed the 8th Managerial School in “Management of hard bituminous coal mining reorganisation processes” in 1999 and 2000. He took part in “Psychological aspects of change management and creating efficient employee teams” managerial workshops and in numerous seminars and training sessions on matters such as bilateral dialogue. From 1978 to 2006, he was professionally associated with KWK ‘Jankowice’ where he worked as, inter alia, Payroll and Standards Department Manager, Deputy Director for Economy and Employee Matters and Director in charge of work. His most recent position was Attorney of the Management Board, acting Sector Director in charge of work for Kompania Węglowa S.A.

Andrzej Paniczek graduated from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, specialising in electrification and automation of mines. He completed a post-graduate course in enterprise management, also at the Silesian University of Technology. He completed studies in finance at the Higher School of Banking and Finance in Katowice and in banking and finance at the University of Economics in Katowice. He also completed a post-graduate course in accounting at the University of Economics in Katowice. He holds auditor powers. Andrzej Paniczek has many years of experience on managerial positions in mining enterprises. In the course of his professional career, he has been: Head Accountant – Deputy Director for Economy and Financial Matters of ‘Jankowice’ mine, Head Accountant of Rybnicka Spółka Węglowa S.A., Manager of the Solvency Management Team, Director of Finance Bureau, Director of Treasury Bureau of the central office of Kompania Węglowa S.A. His most recent position was Vice-President of the Management Board in charge of Economics and Finances at Kompania Węglowa S.A.
